Design For
one segment of your yard

Do you have one part of your yard that truly needs professional help? FarWest has got you covered! This is the perfect program for weekend warriors. Our We Plan, You Plant is for one segment,* or a small portion of your yard (roughly 5’x15′), that really needs a creative design. We work together to craft the design you will love for many years. You can install the plants at your convenience. Many of our customers purchase several FarWest We Plan, You Plant booklets and work their way around each section of their landscape, one area at a time.

How does it work?

  1. Purchase our We Plan, You Plan booklet for $150 in our store, 7 days a week.
  2. Next, you will take the booklet home, fill out each page, and email photos of your space from different angles to our designer. (Our designer does not come to your home.)
  3. Drop off your completed We Plan booklet at FarWest Mon.- Sat. 9-5, Sun. 10-5.
  4. Next, our designer will email or call you with any questions and draw the plan for one segment of your yard. (If you have a large yard, you may need 3-4 We Plan Programs.)
  5. Once your small area plan is drawn, you meet with our designer at FarWest. (Usually 2-3 weeks after you drop off the booklet. You can also have a virtual zoom meeting and go over the finished plan if you can’t meet our designer in person at FarWest Garden Center.)
  6. After reviewing the plan together, our designer will give you a $50 gift card to use on plants at FarWest Garden Center. You can use the gift card when you are ready to plant.
  7. Purchase your plants and start planting. Your new design will come to life! (we offer delivery and or tree & shrub installation through FarWest Garden Center if needed. You will need to take care of irrigation installation for your plants.)

*Remember, if you have a large yard that needs a plan or more than one section that needs a design, that will be 3-4 We Plan, You Plant booklets, depending on the size of your yard. If your yard needs sprinklers/irrigation, grading, a paver patio, or hardscape installation, you will want to contact FarWest’s landscape department.

Questions

Does FarWest’s We Plan designer come to my house?
No, all contact is through email and onsite at FarWest Garden Center once the plan is drawn. Masks are worn, and hand sanitizer is available when you meet with our designer here at the garden center.

Can’t meet in person at FarWest?
No problem! A virtual meeting can be done to go over the plan via zoom, FaceTime, Skype, etc., if that is a better option for you. Our designer will schedule your in-person or virtual 45-minute to 1-hour meeting to go over the plan.

Does my gift card expire?
No, but it is like cash, so hang on to it!

When choosing plants, does the designer have to help me choose or swap plants after our meeting?
No, all of our FarWest Garden Assistants are knowledgeable and able to help you with plant selections or make substitutions. Bring your finished plan with you when you shop, we do not keep an extra copy.
